Truly incredible service. For people in an “in between” situation who just need insurance for a few months, this is an amazing service. I was having a lot of difficulty with other providers, but Dr. Walter made it all straightforward. Just a few clicks and I was insured at a great price point. There's a lot of peace of mind in knowing that should anything happen, I'll be covered.

Horrible experience. It was like having no insurance or assistance at all. I was in the worst pain of my life in Thailand at the hospital I was interning at there. The claims department isn't 24/7 and you have to place an international call to reach them. A robot asks you what the purpose of the call is (I called them from the ER) so they can call you back. I never received a call back and blew my entire phone balance placing the call. The medical assistance is also only available through an international call. You can use a text chat on the app but they never replied to me to this day (it's been weeks, I'm not even abroad anymore). Imagine thinking you're going to go into debt abroad while at the ER experiencing the worst pain you've ever felt, all the while the finance department of the hospital doesn't speak English. After a second health scare (infected cyst that required surgery), due to it seeming like my insurance didn't work (after two weeks they still hadn't given any signs of life, including my reimbursement claim for the first ER visit), I decided I was going to wait till I was in my country to receive treatment, despite it making it difficult to walk and being risky. I felt like I was living in the United States, it was horrible. I'm trying to get a refund from them. They tell me they can do priority processing of my ER visit claim, ahead of other customers. I say that I want a full refund of the insurance, not to be skipped ahead. A couple days later I have the 20€ ER visit money in my account. I'm still going back and forth with them through email as they say they have no record of my multiple contacts and then offer to get the assistance service to help me with my new health problem (not helpful at all now that I'm no longer abroad). RUN from this insurance. Better to go uninsured and know you're uninsured than purchase something that seems like a scam.

In that case I will be happy to correct my review once when termination is done. First e-mail is sent 5 days ago actually and I haven’t received any answer till now. In early phase I was receiving answers within couple hours. It’s pity that I’m receiving answer here and not by e-mail. I had excellent communication with team when I signed for insurance. When I got another insurance and wanted to terminate, they kept taking monthly premium from my account and no one were answering to e-mails

I got injured in India and they have no actual doctors too see here, when I opted for their online doctor trough their app, he not only didn't show up at the first appointment wasting my time but when he did show up (late) on the day after he show. Absolutely no interested in listening to my issue and cut me in 5 minutes prescribing xyz pills and other stuff. Finally I went to see a real doctor and when I submitted my bill I received no response for two months. A bit slow but at the end I did receive my money so it's ok

The worst insurance for Erasmus Students or coming to Europe! I’m in a class of 15 Erasmus Students (cohort 2, Sep 2022) and we all agree that the service is extremely slow and they put a lot of problems paying (sometimes up to 3 months waiting for a single reimbursement of a doctor of 20 euros visit). But THE WORST PART IS IF YOU NEED A SURGERY. I hope it does not happen to any student or young worker in Europe again and my university supervisors are still thinking about what to do with this insurance because it is unbelievable: I had a breathing obstruction so I had a surgery in May of this year. I received the diagnosis in the country that I was studying (Latvia) and my home country but Riga Hospital told me that they had a long waiting list for surgeries so better I do it in my own country (also European country and of course covered by Erasmus+ insurance). So I did it and now they refuse to pay a single euro (even according to the conditions I was less than 6 weeks and you have coverage as is Europe). ALSO THEY CHANGE THE REASONS ALL THE TIME JUST FOR NOT COVER IT. First, they say that breathing obstructions it was a not “your difficulties is not seen as an acute event”. However, I was reading the conditions and when I asked for a list of “acute events” according to them, they refuse to send me a list of these events and in the second email they said “your pathology is part of acute event”¿? C’mon! What’s the point on this? Incredible. Then they said some excuses about the diagnosis in one country or the other when both countries are covered according to their own conditions. Now, I’m just a student with a debt of 5.000 € with a private insurance that doesn’t cover anything when you really need it. NOT RECOMMEND DR. WALTERS AT ALL!

I liked the clear description of what is covered. The price point is fantastic and perfect for what my family needs. The comprehensive coverage is a big relief. The only thing that would have been nice if there were a "Family Plan" instead of having a policy for each family member, but that is minor.
